Notes:
Chris Waters of Athens, Ga., earned medalist honors to automatically qualify for the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship at the qualifier held at St. Ives Country Club in Duluth, Ga. Waters' 6-under-par 66 topped eight other players who also earned automatic qualifying spots into the Championship by finishing in the top nine on the final leaderboard.

David Poteet of Suwanee, Ga., finished at 5-under-par 67 to finish second and earn his automatic qualifying spot. Four players tied for third at 4-under-par 68, including Zane Goldthorp of Tucker, Ga., David Maddox of McDonough, Ga., Justin Johnson of Canton, Ga., and Robert Godfrey of Anderson, S.C. The final three automatic qualifying spots went to three players who finished tied at 3-under-par 69: Jared Purvis of Valdosta, Ga., Greg Kennedy of Duluth, Ga., and Mel Mendenhall of Marietta, Ga., also earned automatic bids into the Championship.

Three players tied at 2-under-par 70, so a playoff was needed to determine the two alternate positions. Georgians Travis Steed of Macon, Mike Cromer of Atlanta and Jeff Nealon of Atlanta returned to the course at St. Ives Country Club, and Cromer clinched the first alternate position, while Steed claimed the second.

St. Ives Country Club was set to 7,003 yards and a par of 72. A field of 140 players competed in the qualifying round.
