Vicki Yi Withstands the Field and Rains to Win Georgia Girls' Championship

MARIETTA, GA. -Vicki Yi of Athens closed out the day firing a 73 to finish at 228 to win her first title by one stroke at the 24th Annual Georgia Girls' Championship, which was played at City Club Marietta, June 16-18. Patricia Kim of Midland, who began the day in third place one stroke off the lead at 156, challenged Yi to the very end but came up short at 229.

Gina Gibson of Statesboro, Sarah Donald of Athens and Jennifer Cassidy Dalton tied for third at 235.
