Baggett & Farage Win GSGA Four-Ball Tournament

WARNER ROBINS, GA - Ron Baggett of Warner Robins and Rick Farage of Macon shot a second consecutive two-under par 70 on their way to a wire-to-wire victory at the 13th Annual GSGA Four-Ball Tournament being held at the Landings Golf Club in Warner Robins and Oakview Golf & Country Club in Macon March 23-25.

Baggett and Farage finished the tournament three-day total of 207 five shots better the team of Larry Clark of Kennesaw and Guy Watkins of Marietta. They competed in the First Flight as did Baggett and Farage and finished with an even par 72 for a 213 total.

Baggett was originally scheduled to play with Eddie Wiggins of Warner Robins, but Wiggins had to withdraw at the last minute. Baggett and Farage never let a team get within four shots of them throughout the event on the way to their first Four-Ball title as well as their first GSGA title.

This three-day 54-hole stroke play event was divided into eight flights. The first four flights played Landings GC twice and were eligible for the overall championship. The event was open to male amateur golfers who are members of GSGA Member Clubs and are residents of Georgia.
