Notes:
Margaret Shirley of Roswell earned medalist honors and qualified for the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship after posting a 1-over-par 73 at Rivermont Golf and Country Club in Johns Creek, Ga. Joining Shirley with automatic spots into the Championship include Ashley Rose of North Augusta, S.C., and Georgian Mercedes Huarte of Suwanee. Rose recorded a 4-over-par 76 and Huarte a 5-over-par 77.

Brenda Pictor of Marietta, Ga., fresh off winning her fifth-straight GSGA Senior Women's Championship earlier this week, finished as the first alternate after a playoff with Lea Venable of Simpsonville, S.C., was needed as both players tied at 6-over-par 78. Venable finished as second alternate.

Rivermont Golf and Country Club was set to 6,050 yards and a par of 72.

Qualifiers advance to the 27th annual U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship, which will be held at Biltmore Forest Country Club in Asheville, N.C., October 5-10, 2013. Entries were open to any female amateur golfer who have reached their 25th birthday by October 5, 2013 with a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 9.4. The U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the USGA.
