Capital City Club – Crabapple Course was one of 99 qualifying sites nationwide taking place from July 20-August 11. The club hosted the first of two U.S. Amateur qualifiers in Georgia. The second takes place August 3-4 at The Standard Club in Duluth.

The 109th annual U.S. Amateur Championship will be held at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., August 24-30. Entries were open to amateur golfers who have a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 2.4. The U.S. Amateur is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
