High school student Anders Albertson of Woodstock, Ga., and Taylor Floyd of Macon, Ga., a member of the Augusta State golf team, earned the final two qualifying spots. Both finished at 2-under 142.

Three players tied at 143 and competed in a playoff for the first and second alternate positions. Current Georgia Tech golfer Minghao Wang, Alpharetta, Ga., scored a par on the third playoff hole to secure the first alternate position over Brent Witcher of Lawrenceville, Ga. Christian Raynor of Kennesaw, Ga., bowed out after the first playoff hole with a bogey.

The Standard Club, which played to 7,003 yards and a par 72, was one of 99 qualifying sites nationwide taking place from July 20-August 11. The club hosted the second of two U.S. Amateur qualifiers in Georgia. The first took place July 21-22 at Capital City Club – Crabapple Course in Woodstock.

Qualifiers advance to the 109th annual U.S. Amateur Championship, which will be held at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., August 24-30.
