Tevis Upton of Douglasville, Ga. won the fifth qualifying spot with a par on the second playoff hole.

Qualifiers advance to the U.S. Amateur Championship which will be held at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaronek, N.Y., August 16-22. The U.S. Amateur begins with two rounds of stroke play. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the low 64 scorers, who will advance to match play. Entries were open to amateurs who have USGA Handicap Indexes not exceeding 2.4.
