Notes:
Caitlin Pisciotta of Alpharetta, Ga., who will play golf for Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, starting this fall, was the medalist at 2-under-par 70.
University of Georgia assistant coach and former Auburn golfer Margaret Shirley of Athens also qualified, tying for third place with a 73.


With identical scores of 74, Brooke Pancake of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Stephanie Meadow of Hilton Head Island, S.C. earned the last two qualifying spots after a two-hole playoff. University of Georgia golfer Kendall Wright of Suwanee, Ga., also competed in the playoff and was slotted as first alternate. There was a four-person playoff for the second alternate spot, with Ket Preamchuen of Kennesaw claiming that position.


Brookfield Country Club was set to 6,338 yards and a par of 72. A field of 66 players competed in the qualifying round.


Qualifiers advance to the 110th annual U.S. Women's Amateur Championship at Charlotte (N.C.) Country Club, August 9-15, 2010. Entries were open to women amateur golfers who have a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 5.4. The U.S. Women's Amateur is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
