Notes:
Six players entered a playoff for the first and second alternate positions after carding 73 in their qualifying round. Those players were Cydney Clanton of Rockwell, N.C., Laura Anderson of Tompkinsville, Ky., Laura Linsey of Lenox, Ga., Margaret Shirley of Roswell, Ga., Karlin Beck of Pike Road, Ala. and Rebecca Durham of St. Simons Island, Ga.


Durham, birdied the first playoff hole to secure the first alternate position. Shirley outlasted Anderson to take the second alternate spot with a bogey on the third hole of the playoff. 


SummerGrove Golf Club (6,460 yards, par 72) served as host for one of 18 sectional qualifying sites nationwide taking place from July 5-17.


The 107th U.S. Women's Amateur Championship will be held at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind., August 6-12. Entries were open to female amateurs who have USGA Handicap Indexes not exceeding 5.4. The U.S. Women's Amateur Championship is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
