Notes:
A total of 69 golfers competed at Chapel Hills Golf Club for nine qualifying spots. It was one of 18 sectional qualifiers taking place across the country to determine the 156-player field.


The par-72 layout at Chapel Hills was set to 6,296 yards.


The 2005 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship will also be a local affair, taking place at Ansley Golf Club - Settindown Creek in Roswell, August 1-7. Entries were open to female amateur golfers who have USGA Handicap Indexes not exceeding 5.4. The U.S. Women's Amateur Championship is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
