Notes:
Qualifiers advance to the 2002 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship, which is being held at Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, N.Y. August 12-17. There was a 10-person, sudden-death playoff for the final four places and four alternate spots. Erin Doyle of LaGrange secured the final spot with a birdie on the seventh playoff hole, number nine, where she sunk a 30-foot putt from the lower tier. Jennifer Head of Columbus, Ga. and Courtney Wood of Brentwood, Tenn. were the other two players in the playoff.
