Cydney Clanton of Rockwell, N.C, and Sara Grantham of Wilsonville, Ala., shared medalist honors, each shooting even-par 71 at The Oaks Course. There was a four-way playoff for the final three qualifying spots and first alternate position, with Katie Burnett of Brunswick, Ga., Ashley Medders of Alma, Ga. and Ashley Cox of Oxford, Ala., claiming the final three spots.
Alexandria Buelow of Palm City, Fla., was named first alternate. Mallory Batson of Gadsden, Ala., scored 75 and picked up the second alternate spot in a playoff.
The Oaks Course was set to 6,179 yards.
Qualifiers advance to the 33rd annual U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship, which will be held at Red Tail Golf Club in Devens, Mass., June 22-27. Entries were open to women amateur golfers who, since Jan. 1, 2009, have been bona fide public course players and have not held privileges of any course that does not extend playing privileges to the general public, or privileges of any private club maintaining its own course and have a USGA Handicap not exceeding 18.4. The U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
