Notes:
There was a three-woman playoff between Taylor Barrett of York, S.C., Alina Lee of Evans, Ga. and Ann Maness of Galivants Ferry, S.C. for the fifth and final qualifying spot and order of the two alternate positions. Barrett won the qualifying spot on the third playoff hole, while Lee captured the first alternate position on the fourth hole.


A total of 28 golfers competed at The Oaks Course for five qualifying spots. It was one of 38 sectional qualifiers taking place across the country to determine the 144-player field.


The par-70 layout at The Oaks Course was set to 6,063 yards, with a USGA Course and Slope Rating of 75.1/135.


The 2005 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championship will be held at Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Mo., July 11-16. Entries were open to women amateur golfers, who, since Jan. 1, 2005, have been bona fide public course players and have a USGA Handicap not exceeding 18.4. The U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
