Sally Watson of South Queensferry, Scotland and Dakoda Dowd of Palm Harbor, Fla. shared medalist honors, both shooting even-par 72. Paula Andrea Hurtado Restrepo of Medelin, Colombia and Courtney Harter of Clearwater, Fla. claimed the third and fouth qualifying spots, both at 73. Rebecca Durham of St. Simons Island was the lone Georgian to qualify at this site, picking up the last spot with a 75.

Braelinn Golf Club played to 6,234 yards and a par 72 for this qualifier. It was one of 32 sectional qualifying sites nationwide which took place this month.

Qualifiers advance to the 58th U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, to be held at Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, N.C., July 17-22. Entries were open to female amateur golfers who have not reached their 18th birthday on or before July 22 and who have USGA Handicap Indexes not exceeding 18.4. The U.S. Open is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
