Qualifiers advance to the 2004 U.S. Girls' Junior Championship at Mira Vista Golf Club in Fort Worth, Texas, July 19-24. Entries were open to female amateur golfers who will not have reached their 18th birthday on or before July 24, and who have a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 18.4.

Barrett defeated Uribe and Darnell in a playoff to earn the final qualifying spot. Uribe went two holes versus Barrett, while Darnell lost in the first playoff hole, thus determining the order for the top two alternate positions.

Canterbury Golf Club, a par-71 layout, played to 6,084 yards. Competitors got off to a late start due to course conditions following heavy rains last night. There was also a three-and-a-half hour rain delay in the early afternoon.
