Qualifiers advance to the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship which will be held at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Ga., October 2-7. The U.S. Mid-Amateur begins with two rounds of stroke play. After 36 holes, the field is cut to the low 64 scorers, who will advance to match play. Entries were open to amateur golfers who will have reached their 25th birthday by October 7, and who have a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 3.4.
