Notes:
Karen Ferree of Hilton Head, S.C. was the medalist at the Sea Island qualifier for the second-straight year. Ferree advanced to the third round of match play at last year's USGA Senior Women's Amateur.


Ena Harvey of Greensboro, Ga., who won her second-straight Georgia Senior Women's Championship last week, qualifies for the USGA Senior Women's Amateur for the third time in four years. She advanced to the second round of match play in 2002 and qualified as well in 2003.


This 18-hole qualifier is one of 23 taking place across the country between August 18 and 29.


Qualifiers advance to the 2005 USGA Senior Women's Amateur Championship will be held at The Apawamis Club in Rye, N.Y., September 17-22. Entries were open to female amateur golfers who will have reached their 50th birthday on or before September 17, and who have a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 18.4. The USGA Senior Women's Amateur Championship is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
