Qualifiers advance to one of seven Sectional Qualifying sites being held across the country June 3-10, where they will play 36 holes of stroke play to earn entry into the 2002 championship.

 

The 2002 U.S. Women's Open Championship will be played at Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan., July 4-7. Entries were open to female professionals and female amateurs with USGA Handicap Indexes not exceeding 4.4
