Notes:
Georgians Larry Clark of Kingston and Curt Knorr of Atlanta tied for second place at 69, two strokes back of medalist Doug Harris of Franklin, Tenn. Clark is returning to the Championship for the fourth consecutive year. Knorr also qualified in 2008.


Blake Watt of Brentwood, Tenn., was one of seven players tied at 73 to compete in a playoff for the second alternate spot. He won with an eagle 3 on the first playoff hole.
Barnsley Gardens was set to 6,781 yards and a par of 72. A field of 103 players competed in the qualifying round.


Qualifiers advance to the 56th USGA Senior Amateur Championship, which will be held at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Fla., October 2-7, 2010 with a starting field of 156 players. Entries were open to amateurs who have reached their 55th birthday on or before October 2, and who have a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 7.4. The USGA Senior Amateur is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
