Notes
Michelle Griffith, daughter of Champions Tour player and two-time U.S. Senior Open champion Allen Doyle, earned medalist honors with a 76. Griffith has advanced to the round of 32 in each of the last two U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championships.


The reigning GSGA Senior Women's Player of the Year and two-time GSGA Senior Women's Champion, Brenda Pictor of Marietta, picked up one of the last qualifying spots with an 80. Pictor also advanced to the second round of match play at last year's U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur.


Jin Son Antoskow of Korea went two holes in a playoff with Martha Lang of Birmingham, Ala., before claiming the second alternate spot.


Rivermont Golf and Country Club was set to 6,125 yards and a par of 72. A field of 14 players competed in the qualifying round.


Qualifiers advance to the 24th U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship, which will be held at Wichita (Kan.) Country Club, September 25-30, 2010 with a starting field of 130 players. Entries were open to female amateur golfers who have reached their 25th birthday by September 25, and who have a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 9.4. The U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
