This 18-hole qualifier is one of approximately 25 taking place across the country between August 15 and 24, and was one of two U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur qualifying events held in Georgia. Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge hosted the first qualifier on August 16, with Donna Gonsalves of Eatonton, Ga., Jin Son Antoskow of Phenix City, Ala., Mary Riley of Perry, Ga. and Michelle Doyle of LaGrange, Ga. advancing to the championship.


Qualifiers advance to the 2005 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship which will be held at Shadow Hawk Golf Club in Richmond, Texas, September 10-15. Entries were open to female amateur golfers who will have reached their 25th birthday by September 10, and who have a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 9.4. The U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
