Notes:
There was an eight-man playoff among the nine who scored 70 for the final qualifying spot and two alternate positions. Paul Cormack of Bluffton, S.C. scored an eagle on the first playoff hole to secure the final qualifying spot. Adam Mitchell of Atlanta earned first alternate with a birdie on the first playoff hole, and Josh Geary claimed second alternate on the third with three straight pars.


Dunwoody Country Club played to 7,061 yards and a par 72.


Sectional qualifying will consist of 36 holes of stroke play conducted at 11 sites in the United States, including Hawks Ridge Golf Club in Ball Ground, Ga., on June 6. Qualifiers from Dunwoody Country Club may, but will not necessarily be, at that sectional qualifier.


The 111th U.S. Open Championship will be held at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md., June 16-19. Entries were open to any professional and to amateurs with USGA Handicap Indexes not exceeding 1.4. The USGA received 8,300 entries for this year's Championship, including entries from all of the 65 golfers who are currently fully exempt into the field. The USGA also received entries from golfers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and 66 foreign countries. The U.S. Open is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
