Notes:
Aron Price of Statesboro, Ga. recorded birdies at one, two and three but bogeyed four to shoot a 32 on the front nine. He put up birdies at eleven and fourteen to close out the day with a 66. Price, 22, was competing in his first USGA Qualifying event.

Jon Kennedy of Hawkinsville, Ga. made par in the playoff against Gregory Lee of Athens, Ga. Lee three-putted for bogey.

Local qualifiers advance to Sectional Qualifying, which will consist of 36 holes of stroke play. GSGA will conduct a Sectional Qualifying round on June 8 at Ansley Golf Club's Settindown Creek in Roswell, with the qualifying players advancing to the U.S. Open Championship at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y., June 17-20.
