Notes:
Jimmy Beck of Columbus, winner of the 2013 Georgia Amateur Championship and member of Kennesaw State University's golf team, earned co-medalist honors and a spot in the U.S. Amateur Championship after posting an 8-under-par 136 (68-68) at a 36-hole qualifier. Blake Kennedy of Clemson (67-69), S.C., who plays golf at Clemson University, matched Beck's 8-under-par 136 to also qualify for the national championship.

Bo Andrews of Raleigh, N.C., who just completed his collegiate career at Georgia Tech, earned the third qualifying spot at 6-under-par 138 (67-71).

Seven players finished at 5-under-par 139, so a playoff was needed to determine the final two qualifying spots into the U.S. Amateur and the first and second alternate positions - Austin Vick of Kennesaw, Ga., (70-69), Greyson Sigg of Augusta, Ga., (69-70), Emmanuel Kountakis of Augusta, Ga., (69-70), Mookie DeMoss of Athens, Ga., (68-71), Zane Goldthorp of Tucker, Ga., (68-71), Christopher Guglielmo of Cumming, Ga., (67-72), and JJ Grey of England (66-73).

After the first playoff hole (No. 18), Vick, DeMoss, Grey and Guglielmo each made birdie, so they moved on. Goldthorp made par, Sigg made bogey and Kountakis made double-bogey, so they were eliminated.

On the second playoff hole (No. 10), Vick made par to secure a qualifying spot into the Championship. DeMoss and Guglielmo both made bogey and Grey made double-bogey, so they went on to the third playoff hole (No. 11). DeMoss birdied to clinch the final qualifying spot. Guglielmo made par to finish as first alternate, while Grey finished as second alternate.

Qualifiers advance to the 114th annual U.S. Amateur Championship, which will be held at Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Ga., August 11-17. Entries were open to any amateur golfer with a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 2.4. The U.S. Amateur is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the USGA.
