Notes:
Mallory Hetzel of Waynesville, N.C., teamed with Lea Venable of Simpsonville, S.C., to post a 5-under-par 66 and earn medalist honors and a spot in the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship. Georgians Megan Carter of Blackshear and Lauren Lightfritz of Suwanee also qualified at 4-under-par 67.
Two teams finished at 3-under-par 68, so a playoff was needed to determine first and second alternate positions. With a birdie on #1, Laura Coble of Augusta, Ga., and Brenda Corrie Kuehn of Asheville, N.C., earned the first alternate spot, while Tiffany Kang of Cumming, Ga., and Christina Yang of Suwanee, Ga., earned the second.
The Oaks Course was set to 6,009 yards and a par of 71 for the qualifier. Qualifiers advance to the inaugural U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship, which will be held at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore., May 9-13 2015. The U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
