Notes:
Jane Park of Woodstock, Ga., earned medalist honors and one of two spots in the U.S. Women's Open after a 36-hole sectional qualifier took place at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta. Park posted rounds of 68-68 for an 8-under-par 136 total score. Brooke Pancake of Chattanooga, Tenn., earned the second qualifying spot at 6-under-par 138 (70-68).


A playoff was needed to determine the first and second alternate positions between two players who finished at 5-under-par 139 - amateurs Janie Jackson of Huntsville, Ala., (71-68) and Ally McDonald of Fulton, Miss., (70-69). Both players made par on the first playoff hole (18). On the second playoff hole (18), McDonald made par for the first alternate spot, while Jackson made bogey for the second alternate position.


Due to severe weather in the Atlanta area on Monday, round two of the 36-hole sectional qualifier was called for the day and suspended at 5:20 p.m. Play resumed at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at Druid Hills Golf Club.


Druid Hills Golf Club played to 6,605 yards and a par 72.


The 70th U.S. Women's Open Championship will be held at Lancaster Country Club in Lancaster, Pa., July 9-12. Entries were open to any female professional and to female amateurs with USGA Handicap Indexes not exceeding 4.4. The U.S. Women's Open is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
