Notes:

Jane Park, a professional from Woodstock, Ga. has qualified for the U.S. Women's Open after posting an 11-under-par 133 for medalist honors at a 36-hole sectional qualifier that was played at The Legends at Chateau Elan.

Park tallied seven birdies in her first round and five in her second for a total of twelve birdies on the day.  Rachel Heck of Memphis, Tenn. posted a (72-69) to claim the second qualifying spot. Heck's day was highlighted by an eagle during her first round on the par 4 eighth hole.

Two players were tied at 4-over-par 148, so a playoff was needed to determine the order of the alternate positions. Gina Kim of Chapel Hill, N.C. (72-76), and Elsa Moberly of Somerset, Ky. (75-73), returned to the 18th tee for the playoff. On the first playoff hole (#18), Kim made par earn the first alternate position while Moberly will be the second alternate.  

The Legends at Chateau Elan played to 6,546 yards and par 72.  

The 72nd U.S. Women's Open Championship will be held at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminister, N.J., July 13-16. Entries were open to any female professional or amateur golfer whose Handicap Index does not exceed 2.4. The U.S. Women's Open is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the United States Golf Association.
