Bo Burdette and Brendan Williams both of Atlanta posted rounds of 69 to share medalist honors and qualify for the 2017 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship which will be held at Capital City
Club-Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Ga., October 7-12.

Burdette finished his round with six birdies including a stretch of three consecutive birdies on holes 15, 16, and 17. Williams's round was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 fourth hole.

There was a playoff needed to determine the final two qualifying spots between Jason Coolik of Atlanta, Matthew Swan of Atlanta, and Taylor Smith of Covington. On the second playoff hole (#12) Coolik and Swan secured the qualifying spots while Smith will be the first alternate.

Five players posted rounds of 71, so another playoff was needed to decide the second alternate position. Jack Larkin of Atlanta, Kirk Whitehead of Atlanta, William Wood of Atlanta, Hudson Hooks of Atlanta, and Matthew Williams of Augusta began the playoff on hole #11.

On the first playoff hole, William Wood and Kirk Whitehead both made bogey and were eliminated. It was Hudson Hooks of Atlanta who advanced after the second playoff hole (#12) and secured the final alternate spot.

This was an 18-hole qualifier held at Capital City Club-Brookhaven Course for the 2017 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship.
